Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design efforts and analysis of electrical systems, creating detailed designs, specifications, and calculations
  • Conduct site assessments and generate technical reports
  • Build and maintain client relationships through effective communication and understanding of project requirements
  • Perform in-process design reviews and implement quality control processes
  • Mentor, train, and motivate engineering staff
  • Provide technical support for field issue resolution
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
  • Prioritize safety and identify potential risks in all engineering work
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions
  • Lead project interviews and presentations

Key Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering for building design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Advanced proficiency in electrical systems design, circuit theory, power systems, and lighting design
  • Experience with IES standards, NFPA references, and master specification software (eSPECS)
  • Proficiency with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to mentor, lead, and develop client relationships
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally with overnight stays
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
