Key Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts and analysis of electrical systems, creating detailed designs, specifications, and calculations
- Conduct site assessments and generate technical reports
- Build and maintain client relationships through effective communication and understanding of project requirements
- Perform in-process design reviews and implement quality control processes
- Mentor, train, and motivate engineering staff
- Provide technical support for field issue resolution
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
- Prioritize safety and identify potential risks in all engineering work
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions
- Lead project interviews and presentations
Key Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering for building design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Advanced proficiency in electrical systems design, circuit theory, power systems, and lighting design
- Experience with IES standards, NFPA references, and master specification software (eSPECS)
- Proficiency with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu and MS Office Suite
- Ability to mentor, lead, and develop client relationships
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to travel occasionally with overnight stays
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
