Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems independently across multiple project phases
- Support lighting, power distribution, life safety, and specialty systems design
- Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and panel scheduling
- Participate in advanced electrical room layouts and system coordination
- Generate electrical specifications and technical documentation
- Conduct field surveys, shop drawing reviews, and construction administration activities
- Coordinate across multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders
- Participate in project meetings and client coordination discussions
- Mentor junior engineering and design staff
- Support QA/QC initiatives and documentation quality efforts
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 4+ years of Building Systems / MEP Consulting experience
- Strong background with lighting, power distribution, and electrical systems coordination
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and related standards
- Experience with load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and electrical system layouts
- FE Certification or pursuit of PE licensure is a plus
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership abilities
