Key Responsibilities
- Lead plumbing and fire protection engineering projects through schematic, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction phases.
- Apply advanced practices and techniques, evaluate data, and resolve discrepancies to ensure project quality.
- Collaborate with Principals, Associates, and Project Managers to finalize scope, schedules, and deliverables.
- Supervise, coordinate, and review work of engineers and designers; assign and schedule tasks to meet deadlines.
- Prepare reports, studies, and system analyses.
- Evaluate substitute equipment applications and review system adjustments after installation.
- Represent the firm at client meetings, coordinating across multiple trades.
- Mentor and train younger engineers and designers to strengthen technical capacity.
- Contribute to refining firm standards, efficiency, and project outcomes.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; E.I.T. actively pursuing licensure considered.
- Minimum 8 years of plumbing/fire protection engineering experience with project leadership.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to manage client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and supervise design teams effectively.
