Plumbing & Fire Protection Designer / Project Manager
AGILE’s Client is an established MEP engineering firm whose mechanical department designs HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems under one roof. From the Shelton, CT office, you’ll design plumbing and fire protection systems hands-on and run your own projects from first layout through construction documents, keeping several projects moving at once. We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities
- Design plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial and residential projects, including storm, domestic water, sanitary, waste and vent piping
- Lay out wet and dry pipe sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA 13 and run hydraulic calculations
- Perform plumbing and fire protection code analysis, fixture and equipment selection, and backflow prevention specifications
- Produce construction documents, including floor plans, schedules, details, specifications and riser diagrams
- Manage your own projects from layout through construction documents, keeping several projects moving at once
- Coordinate with architects and the mechanical and electrical disciplines, and serve as the day-to-day contact on your projects
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of plumbing and fire protection design experience in MEP consulting
- Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and plumbing codes
- Revit / BIM 360, AutoCAD and Bluebeam
- Experience with hydraulic calculation software
- Experience leading projects, not just drafting them
- Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
