Key Responsibilities
- Lead plumbing and fire protection engineering projects through program, schematic, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction phases.
- Apply advanced practices and techniques, evaluate data, and resolve discrepancies to ensure project quality.
- Collaborate with Principals, Associates, and Project Managers to finalize project scope, schedules, and priorities.
- Supervise, coordinate, and review work of engineers and designers; assign and schedule tasks to meet deadlines.
- Prepare technical reports, studies, and system analyses.
- Evaluate substitute equipment and review final system adjustments after installation.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, coordinating across trades as needed.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and designers to strengthen technical capacity.
- Contribute to refining design standards, efficiency, and project outcomes.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; E.I.T. considered if actively working toward licensure.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in plumbing/fire protection project design.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to mentor, supervise, and coordinate engineering teams.
