Key Responsibilities
- Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications for plumbing and fire protection systems
- Design systems including water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads while following QA/QC standards
- Incorporate design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit software
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Maintain professional development and discipline knowledge
- Work safely and report all health and safety concerns
- Perform additional duties as required
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of plumbing and fire protection design experience in commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of codes, compliance, and industry standards
- Project and client relationship management experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- PE license in New York preferred; EIT with ability to obtain PE within 1–2 years considered
- Willingness and ability to travel.
