Key Responsibilities
- Supervise plumbing and fire protection engineering staff to develop design concepts, strategies, construction documents, and engineering reports.
- Provide technical leadership for plumbing, process piping, and fire protection system design.
- Perform and review code compliance for plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Complete fire protection hydraulic calculations using industry-standard software.
- Lead field work, design development, and construction administration services.
- Work across multi-discipline teams on both new construction and renovation projects.
- Manage project financial performance, schedules, and deliverables.
- Prepare proposals and contribute to business development activities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Mentor and provide leadership to junior engineers, helping develop the next generation of design professionals.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in NY preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with a professional A/E services firm.
- Proven experience in plumbing and fire protection system design.
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver quality under deadlines.
