Senior Mechanical Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC and mechanical design efforts, including load calculations, system layout, and equipment selection.
• Produce high-quality schematics, drawings, and specifications in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support project management functions — surveys, field observations, shop drawing reviews, and construction administration.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NYC Building Codes, and energy standards.
• Mentor junior designers/engineers and support Job Captain responsibilities.
• Actively coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to meet deadlines and project goals.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (PE preferred).
• 6+ years of HVAC design experience; proven track record leading projects from design through construction.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and building systems design.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment while delivering consistent quality.
