Key Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Work with Principals, Associates, and Senior Engineers to clarify project scope and deliverables.
- Supervise and coordinate Designers and CAD Operators on project tasks.
- Prepare project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Establish project design concepts, criteria, and scope.
- Perform engineering computations and equipment selection/sizing.
- Coordinate with architects, trades, and clients.
- Review shop drawings and provide recommendations to improve standards.
- Ensure accuracy of design, drawings, and specifications.
- Contribute to firm standards and mentor junior staff as needed.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; E.I.T. working toward licensure considered.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with responsibility for plumbing/fire protection project design.
- Strong technical knowledge in plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and coordinate design teams effectively.
