Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer
AGILE’s Client is seeking a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to join their design team in New York City. This full-time, in-office role involves systems design and specifications for diverse projects such as luxury high-rise residential condos, hotels, retail chains, museums, and institutional facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Design plumbing and fire protection systems, including calculations for water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads for submission to DEP and utility companies
- Develop project specifications
- Perform site evaluations
- Attend client and project team meetings
- Develop contract drawings from schematics through construction documents
- Prepare filing drawings
- Conduct construction administration including review of submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in plumbing and fire protection engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of NYC, NY State, NFPA, International Building Codes, and NYC DEP regulations
- Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills
- Proficient in Elite Fire Hydraulic Calculations software
- Field experience preferred
- PE license and/or LEED certification a plus
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills
- Self-starter who can work independently
