Key Responsibilities
- Lead design of building HVAC systems and district energy systems.
- Conduct field investigations to document existing conditions.
- Perform system selection and calculations for design purposes.
- Work with junior engineers to review drawings and project documentation.
- Engage directly with clients on design options, cost-benefit analyses, and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and utility requirements.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in HVAC and hydronic system design.
- Preferred: experience designing geothermal or district energy systems.
- Proficiency with Revit or AutoCAD.
- New York State P.E. license a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
