Senior Mechanical Engineer – Buildings

Key Responsibilities
- Develop concepts, strategies, construction documents, and engineering reports for new construction and renovation projects
- Provide mechanical leadership on large multi-discipline projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design
- Work directly with clients on analysis of design options and cost-benefit comparisons, and communicate results to support owner decisions
- Direct a mechanical project team to meet project goals and maintain quality work product
- Manage mechanical project financial performance and schedule
- Perform field work, design, and construction administration services
- Mentor and lead junior engineers
- Support client development, proposal writing, and long-term client relationships
Key Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience with a professional A/E consulting firm
- New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Strong HVAC design background, with plumbing and fire protection experience
- Proven ability to lead project teams and manage project budgets and schedules
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task efficiently across several projects
