Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering projects through all phases: program, schematic, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction.
- Independently evaluate, select, and adapt engineering practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with Principals, Associates, and Project Managers to define scope, schedules, and priorities.
- Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of engineers and designers to meet deadlines.
- Develop reports, studies, and system analyses to support project execution.
- Evaluate substitute equipment and review final adjustments after installation.
- Represent the firm at meetings and coordinate across all trades.
- Mentor and train younger engineers and designers.
- Provide input to improve standards and efficiency across the firm.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; E.I.T. working toward licensure considered.
- Minimum 8 years of mechanical engineering experience, including responsibility for project design.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams and client relationships.
- Advanced technical knowledge and experience in engineering practices and project delivery.
