Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical project design activities with minimal supervision.
- Prepare project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Provide direction to Designers and CAD Operators, reviewing drawings and ensuring accuracy.
- Establish design concepts, criteria, and scope while coordinating across trades, architects, and clients.
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing.
- Review shop drawings and recommend improvements to engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Principals, Associates, and Senior Engineers to clarify scope and deliverables.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; E.I.T. working toward licensure considered.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with responsibility for project design.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design and construction coordination.
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.
