Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects through program, schematic, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction phases.
- Independently evaluate, select, and adapt engineering practices and techniques.
- Collaborate with Principals, Associates, and Project Managers to finalize project scope, schedules, and deliverables.
- Supervise, coordinate, and review work of engineers and designers; assign tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Develop technical reports, studies, and system analyses.
- Evaluate substitute equipment applications and review final system adjustments after installation.
- Represent the firm at client meetings and coordinate across multiple trades.
- Mentor and train younger engineers and designers to build technical expertise.
- Provide input to improve design standards, processes, and project outcomes.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; E.I.T. working toward licensure considered.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with responsibility for mechanical project design.
- Strong leadership, technical, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and manage engineering teams effectively.
