Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical systems design across all project phases
- Support power distribution, lighting controls, life safety, and specialty systems design
- Develop electrical room layouts, distribution strategies, and equipment selections
- Write electrical specifications and sequences of operation
- Conduct field surveys, due diligence reports, and construction administration activities
- Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
- Coordinate across multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineering and design staff
- Support QA/QC efforts and technical leadership initiatives
- Participate in client meetings, walkthroughs, and project coordination sessions
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 8+ years of Building Systems / MEP Consulting experience
- Strong background with lighting, power distribution, and electrical systems coordination
- Experience with load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and panel scheduling
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, NYC Electrical Code, and related standards
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary project coordination
- Professional Engineering licensure preferred
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership abilities
