Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to clarify design requirements and overall project goals
- Participate in site visits and design coordination meetings
- Prepare precise and comprehensive contract drawings, plans, and technical specifications adhering to MTA C&D standards
- Develop lighting and electrical layouts, perform lighting/load calculations, voltage drop analyses, and create wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and conduit routing plans
- Review and verify electrical and lighting designs produced by team members through QA/QC procedures
- Confirm all design documents meet applicable codes, industry standards, and best practices
Key Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering; familiarity with MTA standards and subway design preferred
- Strong expertise in complex electrical systems, including UPS and backup battery systems
- Proficiency in MicroStation and electrical design software
- Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; PE license preferred
