Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical system design for small to large-scale projects including hospitals, laboratories, high-rise residential/offices, media, and commercial/institutional buildings
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures while ensuring compliance with state, national, and local building codes
  • Select and specify equipment, including pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, cooling towers, chillers, air handlers, fans, VRF/VRV, PTAC systems, and heat pumps
  • Prepare basis-of-design documents, incorporate client feedback, and manage project documentation using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Perform load calculations, equipment selections, and energy-efficient system designs
  • Conduct COMCheck compliance and provide credit documentation for LEED and other building rating systems
  • Lead hands-on project work and represent the firm in client, contractor, and project team interactions

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; PE highly preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of mechanical system design experience; field experience required
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong working knowledge of building codes, engineering drafting standards, and mechanical engineering practices
  • Understanding of construction processes and ability to interpret construction drawings
