Key Responsibilities
- Lead design for trade-specific ancillary systems (UPS, generators, fuel, secondary water pumps, water reclamation, etc.)
- Design tenant fit-out projects and participate on base building/infrastructure upgrades
- Assemble riser diagrams, schedules, floor plans, and contribute to specification writing
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, contractor change orders, and perform site visits and punch-lists
- Establish design criteria from project proposals and prepare basis of design documents
- Assemble complete contract documents for trade, including layouts of equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers
- Assist in establishing efficient project schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines
- Monitor progress and hold team members accountable for timely completion of tasks
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for consulting projects
- EIT or PE license desired
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and applicable design calculations/software tools
- Strong understanding of trade-specific scope, project codes, and coordination with other trades
- Knowledge of documentation requirements for SD, DD, CD, and specifications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate project needs, and work collaboratively
