Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design for trade-specific ancillary systems (UPS, generators, fuel, secondary water pumps, water reclamation, etc.)
  • Design tenant fit-out projects and participate on base building/infrastructure upgrades
  • Assemble riser diagrams, schedules, floor plans, and contribute to specification writing
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, contractor change orders, and perform site visits and punch-lists
  • Establish design criteria from project proposals and prepare basis of design documents
  • Assemble complete contract documents for trade, including layouts of equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers
  • Assist in establishing efficient project schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Monitor progress and hold team members accountable for timely completion of tasks

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for consulting projects
  • EIT or PE license desired
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and applicable design calculations/software tools
  • Strong understanding of trade-specific scope, project codes, and coordination with other trades
  • Knowledge of documentation requirements for SD, DD, CD, and specifications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate project needs, and work collaboratively
