Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager

They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager for their New York, NY office to lead the design and delivery of complex electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead and project manager for electrical design on commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities and rail stations
- Lead design of medium and low voltage power distribution (480V–15kV), lighting and lighting controls, emergency/standby power and generators, fire alarm, lightning protection, and grounding systems
- Manage projects with teams of 2–3 engineers and electrical construction costs in the $1M–$8M range
- Prepare electrical design drawings and specifications
- Conduct site visits and field inspections, and prepare assessment reports of electrical systems
- Coordinate the work of multiple disciplines and work directly with clients
- Mentor junior engineers technically and professionally
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited university
- 10–15+ years of electrical engineering design and construction support experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York or New Jersey favored
- In-depth knowledge of NYC, New York State, and national codes and standards
- Proven success as a senior project-level engineer with electrical project management experience
- Experience working with Con Edison and other electric utilities
- Proficiency with electrical engineering software such as Visual Lighting, AGI32, and SKM Power Systems Analysis
- AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred; experience managing BIM/Revit production a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
