Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate electrical engineering efforts across multi-discipline project teams
  • Serve as the electrical lead on assigned projects and participate in design, production, and client meetings
  • Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document sessions on-site with Project Managers, Architects, and other disciplines
  • Track project schedules and budgets, coordinating work to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Direct, mentor, and guide other electrical engineering staff
  • Participate in reviews with governing agencies to ensure code compliance
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Regional Controllers on project progress and financials
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering for buildings, lighting, power, and systems
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Strong knowledge of building electrical systems including life safety, power distribution, lighting, and building management systems
  • Experience with AutoCAD, electrical design software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel short-term to project sites for electrified transit systems
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
  • Commitment to a collaborative, employee-owned culture
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (Electrical emphasis)
  • Experience with traction power supply and distribution for rail transit, light rail, commuter rail, or high-speed rail systems
  • Experience in industrial or transportation-focused engineering consulting
