Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical development of HVAC systems for large, complex projects across Science & Technology, Academic, and Commercial sectors
- Formulate design criteria, calculations, specifications, and construction documents for high-performance building systems
- Supervise technical development throughout all project phases and ensure compliance with standards and best practices
- Develop mechanical plans, specifications, and inspection reports; provide technical problem-solving on design issues
- Provide leadership and direction to design teams, including Revit coordination
- Conduct site visits, prepare field reports, and liaise with contractors as needed
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of HVAC design experience in high-performance facilities
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- Experience leading HVAC teams on technically complex projects
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Background in commercial, mission critical, or hospitality projects is a plus
- Commitment to sustainability; LEED accreditation preferred
