Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager
AGILE’s Client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager with healthcare design expertise to join their New York City team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage mechanical system design for hospitals, laboratories, high-rise residential, office, and institutional projects while contributing to sustainable and high-performance building solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex mechanical building design for healthcare and commercial projects
- Manage project scope, reports, design development, and field implementation
- Incorporate design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit software
- Conduct design load calculations, equipment selection, and system design
- Prepare basis-of-design documents and responses to client comments
- Provide credit documentation for LEED and other rating systems
- Attend client and architect meetings to review design progress
- Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Maintain professional development and technical expertise
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 4–7 years of HVAC design experience for healthcare and commercial facilities
- Proficiency in Trace 700, AutoCAD, and Revit software
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and healthcare compliance requirements
- Excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Project management and client relationship experience
- PE license in New York preferred; EIT with ability to obtain PE within 1–2 years considered
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
