Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical building design for healthcare and commercial projects
• Manage project scope, reports, design development, and field implementation
• Incorporate design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit software
• Conduct design load calculations, equipment selection, and system design
• Prepare basis-of-design documents and responses to client comments
• Provide credit documentation for LEED and other rating systems
• Attend client and architect meetings to review design progress
• Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and industry best practices
• Maintain professional development and technical expertise

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4–7 years of HVAC design experience for healthcare and commercial facilities
• Proficiency in Trace 700, AutoCAD, and Revit software
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and healthcare compliance requirements
• Excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Project management and client relationship experience
• PE license in New York preferred; EIT with ability to obtain PE within 1–2 years considered
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed
