Mechanical Engineer
AGILE’s Client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Mechanical Design team in New York City. This full-time, in-office role supports a variety of projects including luxury high-rise residential condos, hotels, retail chains, museums, and institutional facilities. The ideal candidate will bring solid project management experience, leadership skills, and expertise in mechanical engineering design and codes.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete all phases of design from schematic through construction administration
- Collaborate with clients to develop project scope
- Survey existing building conditions and prepare reports
- Prepare mechanical drawings and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with NYC filing requirements and procedures
- Coordinate work between architectural and engineering disciplines
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Participate in inter-departmental project management meetings to allocate resources
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and institutional projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of NYC, NY State, and International Building Codes and NFPA
- PE license and LEED certification are a plus
- Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills required
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
