Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, telecommunications, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Perform load calculations for generators, transformers, switchgear, panel boards, VFDs, feeders, and branch circuits.
- Prepare electrical design drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Assist with building condition assessments and system evaluations.
- Support multi-discipline coordination by collaborating with mechanical, structural, civil engineers, and architects.
- Communicate with clients, manufacturers, and contractors to address challenges and develop solutions.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.
- Stay current with codes, standards, and emerging technologies.
- Support project management tasks and contribute to proposals as needed.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- EIT certification preferred; P.E. license or active pursuit a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience within an A/E consulting firm (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit (required).
- Familiarity with AGi32 (lighting) and SKM (power analysis).
- Solid understanding of national, state, and local electrical codes.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
