Key Responsibilities
- Verify proper installation of technology infrastructure equipment during construction
- Review project budgets, oversee bidding, and manage project administration phases
- Make vendor recommendations and coordinate with manufacturers
- Prepare construction documents including design schematics, flow diagrams, rack elevations, and logic diagrams
- Travel moderately as required for projects
- Collaborate with design team members to ensure technology systems meet client requirements
Key Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience designing Telecommunications, AV, and Security systems
- Knowledge of AV and Security systems including flow diagrams, rack elevations, and logic diagrams
- Hands-on experience creating AV plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- IT-only backgrounds considered
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure including cable plant, telecom room design, and pathways
- Proficiency with CAD and BIM software including AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Technology, IT, or related field; EIT preferred but not required
