Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage MEP engineering projects from concept through construction, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget compliance
- Serve as primary client contact; maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire protection)
- Develop and monitor project plans, budgets, and schedules; ensure profitability and manage risks proactively
- Oversee preparation of reports, design drawings, technical specifications, permits, and bid documents
- Provide QA/QC oversight for all engineering deliverables
- Conduct status meetings with clients and teams; resolve conflicts and ensure compliance with codes and standards
- Support staffing decisions, manage scope changes, and ensure accurate contract execution
- Participate in business development through proposals, presentations, and client relationship-building
- Preferred Experience:
- Industrial project sectors such as pharmaceutical, food processing, automotive, warehousing/logistics, or advanced manufacturing
- Proven track record managing mechanical/electrical systems and process utilities
- Experience as an owner’s representative, guiding projects from design through delivery
- Vendor management, contract negotiations, and operations oversight
- PMP, LEED, or Six Sigma certifications are a plus
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project/Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 5–8 years of experience in MEP project management, ideally in commercial and industrial facilities
- Strong knowledge of building systems design and construction processes
- Skilled in project management software for scheduling, reporting, and tracking performance
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining client focus
