Key Responsibilities
- Serve as project manager, directing teams, assessing budgets, and ensuring deliverables are met
- Oversee development of construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD
- Visit job sites to survey existing conditions and prepare field documentation
- Prepare reports, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and other project-phase documents
- Communicate and coordinate with architects, engineers, vendors, owners, and building officials throughout design and construction phases
- Manage construction administration and coordinate with in-house CA teams
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing technical guidance and leadership
- Deliver engineering solutions across education, higher learning, commercial, industrial, multi-family housing, and specialty projects (parks, recreation, worship facilities)
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (Mechanical, HVAC design expertise preferred)
- 15+ years engineering experience with 7+ years leading teams
- Proven track record managing client relationships & developing new business
- Experience with commercial, educational, institutional, and public/private projects
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
- Knowledge of codes/standards and public bidding procedures (NJDOE, NJSDA, DPMC, DMAVA)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; load calc software (Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, etc.) a plus
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, proposal writing, and strategic planning skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
