Senior Structural Engineer – Buildings
AGILE’s Client, a respected multidisciplinary engineering firm, is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer for their Buffalo, NY office. You’ll serve as Lead Engineer, supervising a team of structural engineers, designers, and technicians on large, complex projects spanning new design, repair and rehabilitation, and investigation and performance evaluation of existing structures. The role includes client relationships, project budgets, and a hand in proposals for new work. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Engineer, supervising structural engineers, designers, and technicians in producing construction documents for large, complex projects
- Oversee drawings, specifications, bidding, and construction administration, including calculation and document reviews
- Develop cost-effective structural system layouts, perform calculations, and coordinate with other disciplines
- Perform site visits to document and estimate existing systems and building conditions
- Prepare technical specifications and engineering reports
- Review and evaluate shop drawings and product submittals
- Inspect construction work in progress and completed work
- Manage project budgets, hours, and resources
- Complete complex and specialty structural designs
- Maintain client relationships and assist with proposals for new work
Key Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in the consulting engineering industry
- New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- BS in Civil Engineering required
- Project history using structural computer analysis software
- Revit experience is a plus
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
