Mechanical Engineer – Healthcare

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for complex land development projects from concept through construction.
• Direct multidisciplinary project teams responsible for site design, grading, stormwater management, erosion control, utility design, and related engineering deliverables.
• Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, quality, risk management, and overall project performance.
• Serve as the primary client advisor while developing long-term relationships and ensuring exceptional project delivery.
• Guide projects through local, state, and federal permitting and regulatory approval processes.
• Partner with department leadership to support business development initiatives, proposal development, and strategic client pursuits.
• Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients while supporting growth into new geographic and market sectors.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering professionals, and foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture required.
• 10+ years of experience managing land development and capital improvement projects.
• North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license required, or the ability to obtain within two months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary engineering teams while managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Strong understanding of permitting requirements and regulatory approval processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and business development skills.
• Proven ability to mentor technical staff while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
