Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical and HVAC systems design across multiple project phases
  • Support HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems coordination and design efforts
  • Conduct load calculations and energy modeling utilizing eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, and/or Carrier HAP
  • Perform engineering calculations, technical specifications, and equipment selection activities
  • Oversee QA/QC reviews and technical correctness of engineering deliverables
  • Serve as Engineer of Record on applicable projects requiring signed and sealed drawings
  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders
  • Conduct field surveys, pre-bid meetings, and construction administration activities
  • Provide mentorship, training, and technical direction to junior engineering staff
  • Support proposal development, client management, and overall project execution efforts

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Approximately 12+ years of progressive Building Systems / MEP Consulting experience
  • Strong background with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design
  • Experience with energy efficiency, sustainability, and design-build construction is preferred
  • Pofessional Engineering licensure preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Building Information Modeling environments
  • Experience utilizing energy modeling and load analysis software platforms
  • Knowledge of LEED standards is a plus
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and technical documentation abilities
