They are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead plumbing and fire protection design efforts in their New York City office.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and coordination of complex plumbing & fire protection systems, including water distribution, sanitary/storm systems, natural gas piping, and specialized fire suppression (sprinkler, clean agent, foam).
- Oversee project teams through surveys, calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NYC Building Code, ASME, and other applicable codes/standards.
- Conduct field surveys, review shop drawings, and support construction administration.
- Act as Job Captain, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely project deliverables.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers while managing multiple project priorities.
Key Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
- 6+ years of experience in plumbing and fire protection systems, including 2+ years in leadership roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Proven ability to manage multiple project types: high-rise residential, healthcare facilities, laboratories, universities, commercial towers, and mission-critical environments.
- Strong communication, organizational, and client-facing skills.
