Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork/piping layouts & controls
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications & construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
- Perform energy modeling, life-cycle cost analysis & code compliance reviews
- Coordinate HVAC designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines
- Conduct site visits for investigations, construction admin & commissioning support
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs & resolve construction issues
- Collaborate with clients, team members, and consultants to meet project goals
- Support proposal preparation and client presentations
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- EIT or PE in NJ/NY (highly preferred)
- 3–10 years of HVAC design experience in consulting engineering
- Proficiency with HVAC software (Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, or similar)
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit (required)
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, building and energy codes
- Strong written, verbal, and coordination skills
