Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the electrical department, including standards, details, and specification updates
- Participate in project proposals by defining scope, budgets, and resource needs
- Ensure quality control by reviewing projects at all stages of design
- Mentor and coach group members; support performance evaluations and staff development
- Work with project managers to assess staffing requirements and align resources
- Oversee technical and financial project success while maintaining strong client satisfaction
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on electrical engineering solutions
- Represent the firm at technical conferences and client meetings
- Contribute to strategic growth by driving best practices, innovation, and sustainable design approaches
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 10+ years of electrical design and project leadership in consulting engineering and/or construction
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ & NY (required)
- Strong leadership ability, with proven experience mentoring teams and managing performance
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and relationship-building skills
- Track record of delivering large, complex projects on time and within budget
- Recognized technical expertise in electrical systems and industry standards
