Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design for tenant fit-out projects; serve as a key designer for base building and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Assemble riser diagrams, equipment schedules, and floor plans; contribute to technical specifications.
  • Establish design criteria from project proposals and prepare basis of design documentation.
  • Produce complete contract documents for plumbing and fire protection systems, including layout of equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers.
  • Design and document ancillary systems such as UPS, generators, fuel oil systems, secondary water pumps, and water reclamation systems.
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, assess contractor change orders, and conduct site visits/punch lists to ensure design accuracy.
  • Assist in developing efficient project schedules that optimize resources and meet deadlines.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of plumbing and/or fire protection system design experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and design calculation tools.
  • Solid knowledge of trade-specific scopes, applicable codes, and multi-discipline coordination.
  • Experience producing documentation for all project phases (SD, DD, CD, specifications).
