Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical/HVAC design projects, functioning as both Project Lead Technical Engineer and/or Project Manager
- Coordinate with Corporate Discipline Leads to assign project resources and manage project teams
- Serve as liaison between clients and company, ensuring transparent communication and client satisfaction
- Supervise and mentor engineering staff to promote professional growth and technical excellence
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet quality and timeline goals
- Develop, review, and approve mechanical/HVAC drawings, specifications, and engineering studies
- Conduct site surveys, provide construction administration support, and advise during construction phases
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure fully coordinated design solutions
- Participate actively in office, client, and project meetings
- Monitor production workflows and maintain compliance with company and industry standards
Key Qualifications
- BS or MS in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering from an accredited program
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure in Mechanical Engineering required; ability to obtain licensure in all six New England states within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 10 years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, including 3-5 years project management experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design for large public facilities
- Thorough understanding of International Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code, Fuel Gas Code, NFPA Life Safety Code, and other relevant building codes
- Knowledge of electrical, fire protection, and special systems engineering a plus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid US driver’s license and ability to pass required background checks
