Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Mechanical Engineering & Design personnel, providing guidance, training, and leadership to ensure team success
  • Manage the technical accuracy, completeness, and client alignment of all mechanical design deliverables
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions and resolve technical discrepancies throughout project lifecycles
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director and Project Managers to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Take on Project Manager duties for assigned projects, providing oversight and reporting on performance metrics
  • Support recruitment, staff evaluations, promotions, and enforce company policies to maintain high standards
  • Develop staffing and utilization plans to optimize mechanical office resources
  • Oversee timesheet approvals and assist with business development efforts in the region
  • Prepare design documentation including Basis of Designs, plans, specifications, and reports
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings as required
  • Serve as lead contact for project Accounts Receivable management
  • Support proposal development, fee calculations, and marketing initiatives

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree in Business or related field highly preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensure required, with ability to obtain reciprocity in Pennsylvania
  • Deep expertise in HVAC engineering and design, building codes, and industry standards
  • Strong knowledge of Design-Bid-Build processes and engineering design software
  • Proven leadership capabilities including team development, decision-making, and strategic thinking
  • Experience in business development within the A/E industry
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintaining discretion and fostering productive relationships with clients, staff, and vendors
