Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design on tenant fit-out projects and serve as key designer on base-building and infrastructure upgrades
• Develop riser diagrams, schedules, and equipment room layouts; contribute to specification writing
• Establish design criteria from proposals and create basis of design documents
• Assemble contract documents, including layouts for equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers
• Lead design of ancillary systems (UPS, generators, fuel, pumps, water reclamation, etc.)
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, change orders; conduct site visits and punch lists independently
• Assist in establishing and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely task completion
• Support project progress tracking and hold team accountable to deadlines

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 6–9 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of trade-specific project scopes, codes, and coordination requirements
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, and design calculations
• Deep understanding of documentation phases (SD, DD, CD, specifications)
• Skilled in prioritizing, multitasking, and anticipating project needs
