Senior Electrical Engineer

AGILE’s Client- a forward-thinking engineering firm specializing in intelligent infrastructure solutions for aviation, transportation, education, government, and commercial sectors, is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join their Boston-area (Braintree) office. This role will focus on leading the design of building and facility electrical systems including medium voltage substations, switchgear, transformers, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Lead Technical Engineer and/or Project Manager on electrical design projects
  • Identify project resources and collaborate with Corporate Discipline Leads to assign team members
  • Act as liaison between client and company, ensuring clear communication and positive relationships
  • Assist with the development and supervision of electrical staff
  • Collaborate with senior management on project status and resource planning
  • Ensure coordinated design efforts across Electrical and other disciplines
  • Create and review electrical drawings, specifications, and engineering studies
  • Support project estimation, planning, and construction feasibility analysis
  • Provide advisory information during construction and conduct site surveys
  • Participate in meetings with clients, staff, and stakeholders
  • Monitor project production, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Follow up on design and production issues for resolution

Key Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Licensed PE in Electrical Engineering, with ability to obtain PE licensure in all six New England states within six months of hire
  • Minimum 10 years progressive electrical engineering experience, with 3-5 years in project management
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong knowledge of national and state electrical codes, NFPA Life Safety code, and applicable building codes
  • Familiarity with Mechanical, Fire Protection, and special systems engineering
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills
  • Valid US driver’s license and ability to meet security clearance requirements
