Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Engineer on municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
- Design and support large-diameter pipelines, pump stations, lift stations, water treatment facilities, and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, system modeling, facility sizing, and engineering analyses.
- Prepare engineering reports, bid documents, construction drawings, specifications, and technical deliverables.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subconsultants, contractors, and public agency clients.
- Assist with permitting, easements, right-of-way coordination, and regulatory approvals.
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction support activities.
- Mentor junior engineers while supporting project delivery, quality control, and client satisfaction.
- Assist with proposals, statements of qualifications (SOQs), scopes of work, fee estimates, and project execution planning.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
- Master's degree in Engineering preferred.
- Colorado Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or the ability to obtain licensure within one year.
- 5+ years of experience designing municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Large-diameter pipelines Pump stations Lift stations Water treatment facilities Wastewater treatment facilities
- Experience with project planning, design, and construction phase services.
- Strong client relationship and project delivery skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred Experience:
- Municipal utility projects.
- Hydraulic modeling and system analysis.
- Construction administration and field support.
- Public agency coordination.
- Multidisciplinary engineering project delivery.
