AGILE’s Client is a nationally recognized ENR Top 500 Design Firm seeking a Senior Highway/Civil Engineer to support highway, roadway, transportation corridor, drainage, utility, traffic, and municipal infrastructure projects throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review highway and roadway design plans, engineering estimates, technical specifications, and construction details.
- Develop conceptual and final engineering documents including horizontal and vertical roadway alignments.
- Design roadway geometry, site grading, drainage systems, utilities, construction staging, traffic signals, pavement markings, and signage.
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and technical execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Ensure design compliance with applicable agency standards and project requirements.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering preferred.
- Active New York Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- 8 to 12 years of highway, roadway, and transportation engineering experience.
- Strong experience designing projects for agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, NYCT, TBTA, or similar public agencies.
- Thorough understanding of highway engineering, roadway design, grading, drainage, utility coordination, stormwater management, and Maintenance & Protection of Traffic (MPT).
- Working knowledge of FHWA MUTCD, AASHTO, New York State DOT, and New York City DOT design standards.
- Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads required.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Clean driving record required.
