Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business opportunities in commercial, residential, and institutional MEP markets
- Leverage existing client and developer networks to build a robust project pipeline
- Represent the firm at industry events and professional associations
- Lead and review MEP engineering design and technical deliverables
- Ensure code compliance and alignment with NYC laws and green building standards
- Act as a technical authority for high-performance HVAC, lighting, and energy systems
- Manage and mentor a distributed team of engineers and remote staff
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Key Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in the MEP industry with significant NYC project work
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (Masters desired but not required)
- Proven sales track record in securing and delivering MEP contracts
- PE license desired but not required
- Strong knowledge of NYC Local Laws 84, 87, 97, and green building compliance
- Familiarity with energy audits, carbon compliance, and high-performance systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, energy modeling, or other simulation tools
- Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
- Certifications such as LEED AP, CEM, or WELL desired but not required
