Key Responsibilities

  • Lead major projects, managing low- and medium-voltage electrical power systems for large-scale water/wastewater facilities, including municipal clients such as NYC DEP
  • Serve as the primary electrical contact for clients from proposal development through project delivery
  • Design, analyze, and layout substations, power distribution, standby power, lighting, data communications, relay logic, fire alarm, and instrumentation/control systems
  • Collaborate across disciplines including architects, civil/mechanical engineers, HVAC, plumbing, I&C/SCADA, and structural teams
  • Oversee construction: review submittals, respond to RFIs, conduct field inspections, ensure quality control, and verify compliance with safety and design standards
  • Apply advanced tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, and photometric software for system analysis, short-circuit studies, and arc flash analysis

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline
  • 10 years of consulting experience in electrical design for water/wastewater and industrial facilities
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD MEP (2D/3D) and/or Revit
  • Proficiency with SKM Power Tools for short-circuit calculations, overcurrent coordination, arc flash analysis
  • Experience with SEL, GE Multilin, or similar relays
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code requirements
  • Commitment to mentoring and developing junior engineers
  • Preferred: Bluebeam and BIM360 experience, medium voltage design experience
