Mechanical Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Engineer on HVAC and mechanical design assignments
• Coordinate project design efforts with cross-disciplinary teams
• Support estimation, planning, and constructibility evaluations
• Assist in preparing technical drawings and specifications
• Conduct field investigations and engineering studies
• Attend project meetings and serve as liaison to clients and design partners
• Monitor project progress to ensure timelines and budgets are met
• Perform QA/QC reviews and technical accuracy assessments
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet company quality standards
• Coordinate resolution of project design and construction issues
• Assist in scope, budget, and schedule development
• Contribute to team meetings and produce meeting documentation

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Active NCEES account – Required
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical systems design
• PMP Certification – Preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiar with mechanical codes, standards, and building regulations
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in HVAC design, multidisciplinary MEP coordination, and construction support
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and deadlines
