Key Responsibilities

  • Design grid-connected power generation systems including single-line diagrams and interconnection applications
  • Develop electrical equipment, materials, and installation specifications
  • Perform calculations and reports (load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, arc flash, grounding, cable sizing)
  • Layout electrical equipment, conduit, duct-bank, and cable systems
  • Develop protection/control single-line diagrams, control schematics, and wiring/communication diagrams
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, and field reports; support testing and commissioning activities
  • Participate in site surveys, inspections, and respond to contractor inquiries
  • Support proposal responses, project development, and strategic client relationship growth

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
  • 5–10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in power, distributed generation, or related fields
  • Knowledge of grid interconnection for generation systems (engines, turbines, solar, battery storage)
  • Experience designing HV/MV substations and specifying grid connection switchgear/systems
  • Proficiency with electrical system modeling software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, HOMER)
  • Strong AutoCAD skills; Revit experience a plus
  • Proven ability to manage multi-discipline engineering projects
  • Excellent communication skills and technical documentation abilities
  • Strong time management and ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
