Key Responsibilities
- Conduct short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM Power Tools
- Lead thermal modeling of buried conductors using Ampcalc, Cymcap, and proprietary tools such as THRUX
- Collaborate with project designers to optimize electrical systems for safety and performance
- Review shop drawings, perform site visits, and verify overcurrent device settings implementation
- Conduct field surveys and update one-line diagrams based on existing site conditions
- Develop and lead internal training programs on SKM and electrical analysis software
- Represent the firm in meetings and coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Maintain and refine company design standards, checklists, and quality control procedures
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
- 10+ years of experience in electrical design and power systems analysis
- Proficiency in SKM Power Tools required; experience with arc flash, coordination, and short circuit studies essential
- Familiarity with buried conductor modeling tools such as Ampcalc and Cymcap
- Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination
- Working knowledge of applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.) and documentation standards
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with strong client-facing capabilities
- Experience across all project phases: SD, DD, CD, and construction administration
