Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM Power Tools
  • Lead thermal modeling of buried conductors using Ampcalc, Cymcap, and proprietary tools such as THRUX
  • Collaborate with project designers to optimize electrical systems for safety and performance
  • Review shop drawings, perform site visits, and verify overcurrent device settings implementation
  • Conduct field surveys and update one-line diagrams based on existing site conditions
  • Develop and lead internal training programs on SKM and electrical analysis software
  • Represent the firm in meetings and coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Maintain and refine company design standards, checklists, and quality control procedures
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical design and power systems analysis
  • Proficiency in SKM Power Tools required; experience with arc flash, coordination, and short circuit studies essential
  • Familiarity with buried conductor modeling tools such as Ampcalc and Cymcap
  • Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.) and documentation standards
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with strong client-facing capabilities
  • Experience across all project phases: SD, DD, CD, and construction administration
